On my trips I keep a moleskine with me to write down my thoughts, ideas, and any random tidbits that inspire me. I also do quick sketches of fragments, pieces, or compositions that strike me. The dialogue between writing and drawing is an aspect that I enjoy exploring. 

Though most of my narration is a simple chronicle of my trips, the first impressions and feelings from a place are the most important, and I try to capture my initial reactions.
