[site two] TRANSPORTABLE COMMUNITY
Placed in the suburban setting most often associated with mobile homes, a new kind of community can be created that embodies all of the benefits of a typical neighborhood while still having the freedom of customization and the security of owning a home.
A common argument is that the mobile nature of the home does not allow for community connections. By creating a community for mobile homes with designated pedestrian ways separate from vehicle traffic, outside play is encouraged. The unit is entered from these pedestrian ways, focusing the home inwards to these neighborhood block parks.
A large park area in the center of the complex allows for larger gatherings of the community to come together, and is where various amenities are situated.
This layout encourages more outsie interaction ebtween neighbors since the vehicle trafic is restricted to a single site. Within the site of each home, secondary structures can be constructed to allow more space for garages, workshops, extended family area, or other uses that each unit needs.
